Caramelised Onion Bread

Using our Kara doughballs, this easy take on focaccia bread compliments starter menus or warm soups.

Ingredients

Kara 270g Doughball

1 Large Red Onion, chopped

3 Spring Onions, finely sliced

2 tbsp Olive Oil

Process

In a frying pan heat oil over medium heat. Cook onion until soft and golden brown. Season with salt. Set aside to cool.

Take the proved dough and begin to kneed in the caramelised onion. Place in a bowl, cover in oiled clingfilm and set aside for 1 hour for it to double in size .

Once doubled, cut into 6 and place on a baking tray. Decorate if you wish, we used edible flowers and a water wash.

Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

Once baked sprinkle with some sea salt and serve with a side to warm hearty soups.
