Stuffed Crust Twist

With sharing plates more popular, this is a great sharing bread. Kara’s Stuffed Crust Twist is a statement meal that easy to make, looks impressive and likely to be shared on social media!

Process

Cut a Kara Dough Ball into three and roll each piece into a long rectangular piece.

Cover each piece of dough lengthways with three different fillings (we used tomato paste, mozzarella cheese and spinach). Be sure to leave an edge around the dough so that when you fold each piece, the dough sticks together.

Carefully plait the bread and finish with some extra grated cheddar and mozzarella.

Bake in a pizza oven for around 15 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.

Top tip: For extra spice and to decorate, drizzle with some hot chilli sauce and shards of spring onion.

Storage & handling

Kara’s Doughballs should be stored frozen at -18°C or below. Once defrosted, do not refreeze.

To defrost

Take the required amount of dough balls from the freezer and place 2″ (5cm) apart on a baking tray. To avoid the doughball skinning, cover with a lightly greased film and place in the refrigerator overnight.

Once defrosted, store in the fridge (5°C) and consume within two days.
