Korean BBQ Burgers with Kimchi Slaw

Ingredients

2 Kara Potato Buns

700g Steak, tender cut, sliced

1 onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic cloves

½ pear, peeled and chopped

3 spring onions, chopped

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon black pepper

100g soy sauce

3 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp canola oil

 

Kimchi Slaw

250g, Cabbage (red or green) thinly sliced

250g,  Kimchi, chopped

54g Mayonnaise

1 tsp rice wine vinegar

Process

  1. In a blender or food processor, blend half the onion, garlic, pear, green onion pieces, brown sugar, pepper, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth.
  2. Pour the marinade over the beef, add the rest of the sliced onion, then mix to coat evenly.
  3. Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over high heat. Pat the meat dry.
  4. Fry the meat on the skillet until browned. Sprinkle with the sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
  5. For the slaw, mix all your ingredients together in a large bowl.
  6. To assemble take your Kara potato buns and toast, then take your burger and top with the Korean BBQ beef, then top with the slaw. Serve with seasons fries and siracha.
