Ingredients
6 slices of KaraWhite Bloomer Bread
200g strong cheddar, grated
200g cooked ham or pancetta
30g chopped chives
Fresh thyme
3 eggs
350ml whipping cream
Salt & pepper
Process
Roughly dice the bread of your choice (we recommend using the White Bloomer Bread from Kara or the Thick White Loaf from Fletchers Bread) and place it into an ovenproof dish. You can remove the crusts if you prefer.
In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, salt and pepper, then pour the mixture over the diced sandwich breads.
In the same dish, add the chives, thyme and cooked ham/pancetta and give everything a good mix. Once combined, top with the grated cheese and bake in the oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes until golden.
Serve with a simple side salad for a delicious brunch option or alongside a hearty soup for a decadent lunch.
