Create spooktacular menus this Halloween with Kara's seasonal pumpkin burger.
For the pumpkin puree:
Preheat the oven to 250°C
Slice the pumpkin in half
Scoop out the seeds of the pumpkin;
Place pumpkin halves, cut-side down, onto the baking sheet;
Roast for 40-60 minutes- You’ll know the pumpkin is perfectly roasted if a fork or knife easily pierces the outer skin.
Cool until you can safely handle the halves then scoop out the soft flesh into a food processor; process until the pumpkin is at your desired consistency, we recommend 3-5 minutes.
For the burger:
Take Kara’s Gourmet Sliced Brioche Style Bun and spread a generous amount of pumpkin puree on the base
Add a handful of wilted black kale
Add 3 sliced of maple glazed bacon
Top with your meaty burger of choice- here we are using beef
Add sliced of red leicester cheese and melt
Drizzle over sauce of your choosing, we recommend chilli sauce for some added spice
Place on the lid of the Gourmet Brioche Style Bun- pre cut eyes with a small knife into the bun and place the stem of a pepper on top for an extra slice of Halloween fun
